Springtime. When the humpback whales come back, Sea Lions take over and kids are still in school.
This time of year gives us a great opportunity to see both Stellar and Californian Sea Lions congregate in great numbers in the Salish sea! And to see them super close to home for us in Steveston.
We had one local elementary school join us for a school tour to see some Sea Lions along the Steveston Jetty last week and they had a fantastic ride!

Learning all about the what makes a Sea Lion, a Sea Lion and a Seal, a Seal all the kids were in awe at the size and numbers of these magnificent creatures when they got to see them. Their excitement was contagious and a great reminder that there is so much more to the Salish Sea than just whale watching.
